Practice Class V and build-up cases now, so you're ready when a real patient needs one.
Full arch, real gingiva, real anatomy
Class V on the canine, central, and lateral. Build-up on the central, lateral, and canine — plus trauma cases you'll actually see: chipped edges, worn teeth, and peg lateral. You practice all of it, so nothing surprises you later.
Tip: For build-up cases, you can reuse the tooth the same way — apply a thin layer of vaseline with a microbrush before starting, then after finishing use a needle bur on the contra-angle to remove only the composite, without touching the model. Class V preps are harder to remove this way, so treat those as closer to single-use.
Apply a thin layer of petroleum jelly(vaseline) to the cavity using micro brush before use. Light cure composite for 5 seconds, then remove gently using a probe.
